After School Clubs

Club: Music

Grades/Ages: grades K-8

Day(s): Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

Times: K-2nd 3:45-4:15      3rd-8th 4:15-4:45     

Fees: $35 per student per week (covers 1-4 classes), multi-student family discount and financial assistance are available, paid directly to Music on Grand

Students will work with different Music on Grand teachers learning general music. Classes may include rhythm, music notation, singing, instruments, songwriting, and so much more! Classes will be fun with regular music themed games. 

Students are welcome to join childcare before or after music. Families will not be charged for childcare for the remainder of the music hour, but will be charged for the second hour. For example, if a kindergartener is signed up for music and stays at school from 3:30-4:30, they will only need to pay the music fee to Music on Grand. If the same student stays for childcare from 4:30-5:30, they will also need to pay the $8 childcare fee. 


Club: Lego Robotics 

Grades/Ages: grades K-3

Days: Mondays  (7 sessions)

Times: 3:45-5:30   

Fees: $120 per student or free for students who qualify for educational benefits AND have a waiver of confidentiality on file. Fees must be paid to the school prior to April 7. 

Registration: Register below! 

Students will work with a parent volunteer and school staff member on building and coding lego robots! This club has a capacity of 10 students. If more registrations are received than spots available, a lottery will be held. 


Club: Soccer (for older students)

Grades/Ages: ages 9+

Days: Mondays  (7 sessions)

Times: 3:45-5:30   

Fees: $120 per student or free for students who qualify for educational benefits AND have a waiver of confidentiality on file. Fees must be paid to the school prior to April 7.

Play soccer with us! Students can look forward to further honing their skills and practicing with friends and school staff. 

Club: Soccer Shots

Grades/Ages:  ages 5-8

Days: Thursdays  (7 sessions)

Times: 3:45-4:30  

Fees: $168 per student, paid directly to Soccer Shots

Soccer Shots focuses on skills, fitness and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through soccer skills, fun games, and team interaction. 

Students are welcome to join childcare after soccer and will be charged separately.


Club: Theater

Grades/Ages: grades 3-8

Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays (16 sessions)  

Times: 3:45-5:30   

Fees: $250 per student or free for students who qualify for educational benefits AND have a waiver of confidentiality on file. Fees must be paid to the school prior to April 7.

Work with school staff to put together a spring theater performance!

 

2025 Summer Camps


We hope you'll join us in June for Northern Lights Camp!

Dates:  June 9-12, June 16-18, June 23-26, optional separate activities on Fridays

Hours: 9:00-12:00 & 1:00-4:00 w/ a lunch & recess break from 12:00-1:00 for students signed up for both morning and afternoon activities

Fees:

$150 for half day M-Th Weeks 1 & 3

 $300 for full day M-Th Weeks 1 & 3

 $120/$240 M-W Week 2

 $40 for Fridays 9:00-200

Camp Sessions:

  • Handicrafts & Sewing (K-3) 

  • Parks & Pools: Visit parks and pools within walking distance of the school (K-3 & 4-8)

  • Theater Lab: Explore different aspects of theater, story and art (K-3)

  • Stories & Crafts (K-3)

  • Sports of all sorts! (K-3 & 4-8)

  • Building Things: Cardboard and more! (K-3 & 4-8) 

  • Kindergarten Camp: Lots of activities for our incoming kindergarteners to build connections and familiarity with Northern Lights (rising kindergarten only)

  • Gardening (K-3)

  • Art (K-3)

  • Urban Park Exploration: Full day only! Drop-off at alternate metro locations (4-8)

  • Outdoor Rec: Full day only! Drop-off at alternate metro locations (4-8)

  • Theater (4-8)

Camp Logistics:

  • Enrollment in each camp session will be limited based on staff capacity. Only sessions with 5 or more students signed up will be offered. When there are two sessions offered, you'll be able to designate a first and second choice in case your first choice is full or not offered.

  • We do not receive funding to offer summer camp, so camp funding is based on student fees. There is an option to request financial assistance, but assistance is not guaranteed.

  • Students signed up for both morning and afternoon activities will have a lunch and recess break from 12:00-1:00. Students must bring lunch from home.

  • Fridays will not be part of our regular camp activity schedule, but on-site activities will be available from 9:00-2:00 on Fridays.

  • Camps will be divided between students entering Kindergarten through 3rd grade and students entering 4th through 8th grade, with the exception of Kindergarten camp (only for rising Kindergarteners) and currently enrolled 8th graders who may join 4th-8th camps.

  • Once registration and camp schedules are finalized, fees will be charged through JMC (our student information system) and must be paid in advance via cash, check, or through JMC.
