Lead Testing

Lead Testing Information for 768 Hamline Ave. S.

Lead testing in the water at 768 Hamline Ave. S. was conducted in 2023. Fixtures that showed elevated lead levels were re-tested in October of 2024 as lead in plumbing fixtures can add to a person’s overall lead exposure. A summary of these results is linked above. Taps that tested at or above 5 ppb were either designated as not for consumption or are remediated with flushing and aerator cleaning (effective at reducing lead levels with the tested fixtures). Re-testing of these fixtures occurred in December of 2024. Results are available here. Fixtures at or above 5ppb continue to be marked as not for consumption or are remediated with daily flushing. Daily flushing has shown to be an effective method to reduce lead in the water.
